” I will know, within the first 2 minutes” : Trump
Washington : Ahead of his Friday meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska, US President Donald Trump expressed optimism about the possibility of normal trade between both countries and said he’ll know within the first two minutes of their meeting whether a deal can be struck.
The US Prseident said “The next meeting will be with Zelensky and Putin, or Zelensky and Putin and me. I’ll be there if they need me, but I want to have a meeting set up between the two leaders,” he added.
Trump said that he’s meeting with Putin to see what the parameters of a peace deal could be before he speaks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders. “I’m going to meet with President Putin and we’re going to see what he has in mind, and if it’s a fair deal, I’ll reveal it to the European Union leaders and the NATO leaders and also to President Zelensky,”
Trump described the meeting with Russia as a “big deal”.
